What Changed from Go1 to Go2?
The biggest difference is perception: while the Go1 relied on camera-based sensing, the Go2 ships with a 4D LiDAR L2 scanning 360°×90° — obstacle perception in darkness and low contrast rests on it. Speed rose to 5 m/s, GPT-based command integration was added, and the AIR / PRO / EDU variant structure was retained. See our Go1 vs Go2 comparison for a detailed side-by-side.
Used Go1 or New Go2?
Used Go1 prices can look attractive; however distributor warranty, spare-parts supply, current SDK support and installation apply only to the current lineup. On a total-cost-of-ownership basis, a new Go2 Air is the safer investment in most scenarios. For short-term needs, robot dog rental is also worth considering.
