OVERVIEW

Unitree G1

Unitree G1 is a compact humanoid robot introduced in 2024 by Unitree Robotics. It stands 127 cm tall and weighs approximately 35 kg (with battery). With 23 degrees of freedom, the G1 can expand to 43 DoF in the G1 EDU variant with optional dexterous hands. Its NVIDIA Jetson Orin processor delivers 100 TOPS of AI compute. Leg joint torque is approximately 88 N·m, and arm joint torque is approximately 25 N·m. Maximum walking speed is ~2 m/s. The battery supports approximately 2 hours of operation. Each arm can carry ~2-3 kg nominal payload. The G1 EDU variant is open for secondary development via ROS2 and Python SDK. A controller app is available for iOS and Android.
