Unitree G1
Unitree G1 is a compact humanoid robot introduced in 2024 by Unitree Robotics. It stands 132 cm tall and weighs approximately 35 kg. While the base model features 23 degrees of freedom (DoF), the G1 EDU variant expands to 43 DoF with the optional Dex3-1 dexterous hand (7 active finger DoF + 2 wrist DoF). The system supports reinforcement and imitation learning via Unitree's UnifoLM framework. G1 EDU is equipped with NVIDIA Jetson Orin modules delivering 100–157 TOPS of AI performance and is fully compatible with ROS 2, Isaac Sim, and MuJoCo simulation tools. Knee joint torque is 90 N·m on the base model and 120 N·m on the EDU. Environmental perception uses an Intel RealSense D435i depth camera and Livox MID-360 3D LiDAR.
In 2025-2026, the G1 became the first electric humanoid robot to perform a standing side flip, completed a 13 km continuous run, performed synchronized martial arts with 50 units at Beijing's Temple of Heaven, and achieved autonomous robot assembly using the UnifoLM-X1-0 AI model — milestones that redefined humanoid robotics.
Sold in Turkey through robotlar.org, the official Unitree Robotics distributor, the G1 comes with Turkish technical support, installation consulting, and after-sales service for G1, G1 EDU, and G1+ variants.

Engineering Evaluation
The Unitree G1, particularly in its G1 EDU configuration, positions itself as an accessible humanoid robot platform for open research and algorithm development. Its force-controlled joint architecture and LiDAR/depth camera fusion provide a directly usable infrastructure for both motion planning and object manipulation research. However, the limited battery autonomy poses operational constraints for long-term autonomous field missions.
