Overview
Figure AI is a US company founded in 2022 that develops general-purpose humanoid robots. Its third-generation model, Figure 03, was unveiled on 9 October 2025. The company describes the robot around three goals: running its own AI, Helix, being safe to use in a home, and being manufacturable at high volume.
Hardware highlights: 173 cm tall, 61 kg, 20 kg payload, about 5 hours of runtime and 1.2 m/s walking speed. The camera system runs at twice the frame rate and a quarter of the latency of the previous generation, with an additional camera in each palm. Fingertip tactile sensors detect forces as small as 3 grams. Charging is wireless at 2 kW through coils in the feet, and data offload runs over 10 Gbps mmWave.
On manufacturing, the company states that its own facility, BotQ, will initially be capable of up to 12,000 robots per year on the first line, with a goal of 100,000 robots over four years. No price, order channel or Turkey delivery date has been announced.
For organizations with a Figure 03 requirement we assess sourcing, timing and the humanoid alternatives deliverable today (Unitree G1 and H2) transparently.
Perception Built for Helix
The Figure 03 camera architecture was rebuilt to feed the company's own vision-language-action model, Helix: twice the frame rate, a quarter of the latency and a 60 percent wider field of view per camera versus the previous generation. A camera embedded in each palm keeps close-range vision available when the main cameras are occluded, such as reaching into a cabinet or working in a confined space.
3-Gram Fingertip Sensitivity
Finding market tactile sensors inadequate, Figure developed its own first-generation sensor. The fingertip sensors detect forces as small as 3 grams, about the pressure of a paperclip resting on your finger. The aim is to sense an impending slip before it happens and hold control on fragile or irregular objects.
Soft Body for the Home
The body is wrapped in textile rather than hard machined parts, with multi-density foam placed at pinch points. The outer fabric can be removed and washed without tools. It is 9 percent lighter than Figure 02 with noticeably less volume, and the battery is certified to UN38.3.
Wireless Charging and Data Offload
Coils in the feet let the robot charge wirelessly at 2 kW simply by stepping onto a charging pad, with no cable to plug in. On the data side, a 10 Gbps mmWave link is fast enough to upload fleet-collected data during shift breaks.
