Booster Robotics platforms: the RoboCup champion T1, the education-focused K1 and the flagship T2
Booster Robotics was founded in 2023 and aimed its early strategy at scientific research and education scenarios. Founder and CEO Cheng Hao holds bachelor's and master's degrees from Tsinghua University, and the core team comes from the Tsinghua Robot Control Lab and the Tsinghua Hephaestus RoboCup team. The company became an official RoboCup Federation partner in December 2024 and announced in November 2025 that it had passed 700 humanoid robot deliveries worldwide across more than 200 customers, with over half of those units delivered internationally. Robotlar.org lists three models: the 2025 RoboCup AdultSize champion T1 (118 cm, 30 kg, 23-41 degrees of freedom, 130 N·m), the introductory education platform K1 (95 cm, 19.5 kg, 22 degrees of freedom, three compute tiers) and the flagship T2 launched in July 2026 (140 cm, 42 kg, 31 degrees of freedom, a three-axis waist, 10 kg dual-arm payload). All three bodies share the same open-source software stack. Developer-Focused Humanoid Research Robot
The Booster T1 is Booster Robotics' developer and research oriented humanoid. It measures 118 × 47 × 23 cm and weighs approximately 30 kg, with a 57 cm leg length and a 45 cm arm length. Degrees of freedom range from 23 to 41 by configuration: 23 on the base body (six per leg, one waist, four per arm, two head), 31 with grippers and 41 with six-DoF dexterous hands. The joints produce 130 N·m of peak torque and carry dual encoders. Compute is 200 TOPS on an NVIDIA AGX Orin, with an Intel i7 1370p added on the Standard and Customized editions. Perception includes a depth camera, a 9-axis IMU and a circular six-microphone array. A 10.5 Ah battery runs for two hours walking and four hours standing. The T1 is the champion model of the 2025 RoboCup AdultSize category and is used by more than 50 robotics teams worldwide.

Introductory Embodied Development Platform
The Booster K1 is Booster Robotics' introductory embodied development platform. It stands 95 cm and weighs approximately 19.5 kg, light enough for one person to carry. It has 22 degrees of freedom in total: six per leg, four per arm and two in the head. The joints produce 60 N·m of peak torque and carry dual encoders. Its three editions differ in compute: Geek at 48 TOPS, Education at 117 TOPS and Professional at 200 TOPS. Perception includes a stereo depth camera, a 9-axis IMU and a circular three-microphone array. The battery is 2 or 5 Ah by edition, giving 30 to 80 minutes at a 0.4 m/s walk. The Doubao large language model is bundled free for six months. The K1 is the model that took both the championship and the runner-up spot in the 2025 RoboCup Soccer KidSize category, and it is used together with Booster GYM 2.0.

Flagship Embodied Development Platform
The Booster T2 is Booster Robotics' flagship embodied development platform, launched at WAIC in July 2026. It stands approximately 140 cm and weighs 42 kg. There are 31 degrees of freedom in total: six per leg, seven per arm, three in the waist and two in the head. The joint outputs use industrial-grade crossed roller bearings and the drive uses a high-speed internal-rotor permanent magnet synchronous motor; maximum peak torque is 140 Nm. It carries up to 10 kg with both arms. Maximum walking speed is 3 m/s. Perception includes binocular cameras in the head and waist, an optional wrist camera, a microphone array and a speaker, with LiDAR as an option. The Professional edition carries an NVIDIA Jetson Thor T5000. A 48 V, 10 Ah battery provides two hours of continuous walking and charges through a magnetic port.

It is the 2025 RoboCup AdultSize champion model and is used by more than 50 teams. The K1 is the introductory education platform: 95 cm, 19.5 kg, 22 degrees of freedom and 48, 117 or 200 TOPS options; it took first and second in the 2025 RoboCup KidSize category. The T2 is the flagship: 140 cm, 42 kg, 31 degrees of freedom, a three-axis waist, 10 kg dual-arm payload, a 3 m/s walking speed and an NVIDIA Jetson Thor T5000 on the Professional edition.
Three reasons. First, rule fit: the T1 is sized to the AdultSize rule set and the K1 to KidSize. Second, software access: comprehensive API interfaces, an open-source framework, the Booster GYM reinforcement learning environment and the Booster SDK are published, so teams can train their own policies and run them on a real body. Third, results: at RoboCup 2025 in Brazil the top two places in both AdultSize and KidSize went to Booster platforms, and in 2026 38 teams competed on Booster robots and every bipedal humanoid division was won.
Comprehensive API interfaces, an open-source framework and open-source tools; the Booster GYM reinforcement learning environment; the Booster SDK; deployment tools and developer documentation. Booster Studio, launched in June 2026, brings agent development, Vibe Coding, simulation and debugging, and deployment to a physical robot into a single integrated environment. All three bodies share the same stack.
