Galbot robot platforms: the G1 service robot, the S1 heavy-load robot and the ET1 interaction robot

Galbot is a Chinese robotics company founded in 2023 that works on embodied foundation models. At the centre of its technology is AstraBrain, which the company states unifies perception, decision-making and whole-body motion control in a single end-to-end model; beneath it sit components such as the WAM world-action model, the WBC on the motion control side and DexNDM developed for dexterous hands. The company has also published the GraspVLA grasping model and the OpenTrack whole-body tracking framework. Wheeled Dual-Arm General-Purpose Service Robot

The Galbot G1 is a dual-arm general-purpose service robot on a wheeled base. Maximum height is 1730 mm and weight 92.5 kg; a 650 mm leg lift travel lets the torso rise from floor level to shelf height. Arm length from shoulder to wrist is 710 mm, and the workspace measured at the wrist centre spans 0-2100 mm vertically and 1900 mm horizontally. Excluding the chassis and end-effectors there are 21 degrees of freedom: neck 2, seven per arm, waist 3 and legs 2. One arm carries 5 kg and both together 10 kg. The end-effector can be swapped between a dexterous hand, a suction cup and a gripper. Perception includes a binocular camera in the head, four RGB cameras in the torso, two depth cameras and two six-axis force sensors at the wrists, and a 3D LiDAR, eight ultrasonic sensors and an IMU on the chassis. Compute is 275 TOPS on an NVIDIA AGX Orin 64 GB. A 48 V 30 Ah battery gives eight hours of operation and charges in 3.5 hours from the adapter. Protection is IP54 and the operating temperature range 0-40 degrees.

Interaction and Performance Humanoid Robot

The Galbot ET1 is a humanoid robot designed for interaction and performance scenarios. It stands 1250 mm and weighs 32 kg with the battery, dimensions that let one person carry and set it up. The Standard edition has 26 degrees of freedom; the Pro and Flagship add 12-degree-of-freedom dexterous hands for a total of 38. Visual perception uses a stereo camera. The main processors are an RK3588 and an RDK X5, with a 40 TOPS Orin Nano on the Pro and a 100 TOPS NX on the Flagship as additional compute. On the motion side it uses a Transformer-based motion foundation model at the hundred-million-parameter scale, and the robot learns new movement skills directly through human interaction rather than from motion capture or video data. Use scenarios include greeting, storefront promotion, stage dance and two-person stage performance.

Industrial Heavy-Load Dual-Arm Robot

The Galbot S1 is a heavy-load dual-arm robot designed for industrial, warehousing and logistics scenarios. Maximum height is 1793 mm and weight 320 kg. It carries up to 50 kg with both arms; arm length from shoulder to wrist is 920 mm and lift travel 750 mm. The workspace at the wrist centre spans 0-2400 mm horizontally and 2390 mm vertically, reaching from floor level to a top shelf at 2.3 metres. Degrees of freedom break down as neck 2, seven per arm and lift 1. Perception includes a binocular camera and a 3D LiDAR in the head, two depth cameras and two six-axis force sensors in the chest, and two 3D LiDARs on the chassis. Compute is 275 TOPS on an NVIDIA AGX Orin 64 GB. Two 48 V 30 Ah batteries give eight hours of operation, charge in two hours and hot-swap, so the robot can keep working around the clock. The base is a four-wheel steering omnidirectional type measuring 730 × 730 mm with a maximum speed of 1.5 m/s.
