Overview
The Galbot ET1 is a humanoid robot designed for interaction and performance scenarios. Within Galbot's lineup the G1 and S1 take on manipulation and handling while the ET1 turns to direct interaction with people.
Mechanically: 1250 mm standing and 32 kg with the battery. That band lets one person carry the robot and set it up on a stage, and it is what determines setup cost per event.
Degrees of freedom vary by edition: 26 on the Standard and 38 on the Pro and Flagship with 12-DoF dexterous hands. The body, height, weight and main processors are identical across all three.
On compute, the main processors are an RK3588 and an RDK X5. The Pro carries a 40 TOPS Orin Nano and the Flagship a 100 TOPS NX as additional compute. Visual perception uses a stereo camera.
On motion it uses a Transformer-based motion foundation model at the hundred-million-parameter scale. The approach the manufacturer highlights is that new movement skills are learned during direct interaction with a person rather than from a motion capture studio or prepared video data, which lowers the cost of changing a stage programme.

Why 1250 mm and 32 kg
These dimensions come from the constraints of performance and event use. At 32 kg one person can carry the robot and set it up on a stage; on a full-size body above 70 kg that job needs two people and handling equipment, raising the setup cost per event. A height of 1250 mm is meaningful for interaction: the robot stands around an adult's chest height, close to eye level for a child while not presenting an intimidating mass to an adult. Fall risk also stays low in this band.
Where the Edition Difference Gathers
The body, height, weight and main processors are identical across the three editions. The difference falls under two headings: dexterous hands and additional compute. The Standard edition comes with 26 degrees of freedom and no hands, which suffices for greeting, dance and speech-led work because those scenarios do not involve holding objects. On the Pro and Flagship, 12-DoF hands raise the total to 38. On the compute side, the gap between 40 and 100 TOPS determines how large a model can run on the robot. The choice therefore follows whether the robot will interact with objects or only with people.
