Overview

The AT-2000 is a special-purpose vehicle that travels on land like a tank and floats on water like a boat; it crosses rivers, lakes and coastal water without depending on bridges or boats. Buoyancy comes from the displacement of the sealed body, supported by 1500 × 500 × 400 mm float boxes. Propulsion on water comes either from the tracks paddling directly or from optional propeller or water-jet systems; track propulsion is simple in structure but limited in water speed and manoeuvrability, while the propeller version performs better on water. On land the drive is tracked, speed runs from 0 to 1.6 m/s (2 km/h) and it climbs 30 degrees; it turns on the spot. The 2200 × 1500 × 1000 mm aluminium body weighs 320 kg; all-terrain rubber tracks resist slipping, a large interior takes more equipment, the finish is sprayed plastic with partial paint and control distance is 300 m in the open. It serves wetland inspection, coastal reconnaissance, water crossing at disaster sites and special transport projects.

Land and water in one body
