Overview

The Safari 900T is the wide-bodied member of the Safari family. The 1200 × 810 × 410 mm body weighs 170 kg and carries a 100 kg rated load; the manufacturer's summary box gives the loading range as 170 to 300 kg. Interior space is 680 × 350 × 160 mm and chassis height 185 mm. Two 48 V brushless DC motors deliver 82 Nm of rated torque; speed runs from 0 to 1.6 m/s, climbing 40 degrees (stairs included) and obstacle clearance 160 mm. A carbon-steel body, Kevlar-embedded rubber tracks, Christie suspension and ten independent shock absorbers handle heavy load and vibration; protection is IP54, optionally IP67. Motion control is exposed over CAN and secondary development is supported; the top platform is left free for sensing, industrial control, networking and camera equipment. It serves patrol, firefighting, transport and development projects.
