Siasun Mobile Manipulator Robot

Mobile Manipulator Robot

The Siasun Mobile Manipulator Robot is a composite robot that combines an autonomous mobile platform with a GCR10, GCR14 or GCR20 collaborative arm in one body; the platform carries up to 670 kg and the arm holds 10, 14 or 20 kg at the end effector. It parks to ±10 mm and ±1 degree on SLAM and QR code navigation and reaches ±0.5 mm overall end-effector accuracy through vision and navigation fusion. With collision detection, a safety edge, an obstacle-avoidance LiDAR and an E-stop it takes on material feeding, unloading and sorting in 3C, semiconductor and power plants; cleanroom, explosion-proof and hazardous-environment use is supported.

Overview

The Siasun Mobile Manipulator Robot is the product of the hybrid (composite) class in Siasun's customised mobile robot portfolio: an autonomous mobile platform and a collaborative arm merge in one body. The platform carries up to 670 kg; the arm is chosen as GCR10, GCR14 or GCR20 and holds 10, 14 or 20 kg at the end effector. The robot carries the material to the machine, picks the part and places it in the fixture, then takes the machined part back; transport, sorting and loading-unloading sit on one robot. Navigation is SLAM and QR code with ±10 mm and ±1 degree parking accuracy; the vision system measures the deviation after parking, compensates the arm trajectory in three axes and delivers ±0.5 mm overall accuracy at the end effector. A quick-change gripper adapts the same robot to different parts within a shift. The safety chain consists of collision detection, a safety edge, an obstacle-avoidance LiDAR and an E-stop; cleanroom, explosion-proof and hazardous-environment use is supported. Target sectors are 3C manufacturing, semiconductor and power. Siasun developed China's first composite robot; vision-based three-dimensional position compensation, robot power supply, robot-to-AGV communication and control integration, quick gripper exchange and compatibility between different composite AGVs were applied in this product. Nearly a hundred composite robots were delivered to a semiconductor manufacturer in Penang, Malaysia. The fleet layer is the IMRS 2.0 platform: the TCS dispatch system connects to MES/ERP/WMS through VDA5050, OPC UA, Modbus and MQTT; LWS, SAS, LPT, DTS and IoT modules sit on the same platform. Robotlar.org supplies the Mobile Manipulator Robot to production projects in Turkey with enterprise supply, commissioning and engineering support.

Four layers of safety

Collision detection, a safety edge, an obstacle-avoidance LiDAR and an E-stop; the collaborative arm works at the same line side as people.

Cleanroom and Ex editions

Cleanroom, explosion-proof and hazardous-environment use is supported; semiconductor, 3C and power plants are the target fields.

ENGINEERING ANALYSIS

Mobile Manipulator Robot: Technical Analysis

Hands and feet in one body

An AMR brings the material as far as the machine, but a person or a fixed arm is still needed to put it in. Siasun's composite robot takes that last step too: the mobile base carries the part to the machine, the collaborative arm on top picks it and places it in the fixture, then takes the finished part back. It is Siasun's robot and AGV expertise merged into one solution, designed to cut manual handling and labour on complex intralogistics tasks such as material feeding and unloading. The platform carries up to 670 kg; the arm is chosen as GCR10, GCR14 or GCR20 and holds 10, 14 or 20 kg at the end effector.

Vision for half a millimetre

The mobile base parks to ±10 mm and ±1 degree on SLAM and QR code navigation; for a machine fixture that is not enough. The vision system measures the deviation after parking and compensates the arm trajectory in three axes; the result is ±0.5 mm overall accuracy at the end effector. A quick-change gripper adapts the same robot to different parts within a shift. Siasun developed China's first composite robot; the vision compensation, power supply and robot-to-AGV communication techniques were applied in this product.

Safety in the same space as people

The arm is collaborative class and the robot moves along line sides where people work; the safety chain consists of collision detection, a safety edge, an obstacle-avoidance LiDAR and an E-stop. Cleanroom, explosion-proof and hazardous-environment use is supported, with cleanroom editions aimed at semiconductor and 3C plants and hazardous-environment editions at power facilities. Nearly a hundred composite robots were delivered to a semiconductor manufacturer in Penang, the semiconductor industry's first large-scale composite robot deployment outside China.

Applications

  • 3C manufacturing: machine feeding and unloading, part transfer between test stations.
  • Semiconductor: cassette and carrier transfer in the cleanroom.
  • Power: operation in switchgear and substation areas with the hazardous-environment edition.
  • Intralogistics: transport, sorting and loading-unloading merged in one robot.
  • Multi-process cells: different parts within a shift through quick gripper changes.

By part weight and gripper mass: GCR10 for 10 kg at the tip, GCR14 for 14 kg, GCR20 for 20 kg. Gripper weight is deducted from the payload; the part list and reach distances are assessed at the survey.

After the base parks, the vision system measures the reference on the fixture and compensates the arm trajectory in three axes; the ±10 mm parking deviation comes down to ±0.5 mm at the end effector. Reference marks and camera position are defined at commissioning.
