Overview

EngineAI is a Shenzhen-based Chinese company developing legged robots and its own joint actuators. The SE01 was introduced as the first full-size general-purpose humanoid to achieve a human-like gait; torso proportions and joint ranges are designed to match human anatomy.

The body is aircraft-grade aluminium alloy, balancing structural strength with light weight and lowering energy consumption. The planetary, harmonic and linear actuators were developed in-house. The Engine Sense perception system combines LiDAR, a depth camera and an infrared camera, joined by two RGBD cameras, a motion-control IMU and a high-precision force-control sensor.
