UBTECH Cruzr 1S

Cloud-Based Intelligent Reception and Guiding Robot

The UBTECH Cruzr 1S is a cloud-based intelligent service robot. A humanoid design is built around 15 high-performance servo motors in the body. On perception there is a six-microphone array with a maximum five metre range, a 13 megapixel high-definition camera, a TOF cliff sensor for anti-fall protection and a stereo obstacle avoidance system in which six sensors work together across 360 degrees. Both arms are covered in soft electronic skin. The wheel motor runs with a suspension shock-resistant system. Navigation uses UBTECH's self-developed U-SLAM for centimetre-level path planning. A single charge powers the robot for up to eight hours and provides 24 hours of standby, with command, scheduled and automatic charging modes.

Overview

The UBTECH Cruzr 1S is a cloud-based intelligent service robot. We supply UBTECH platforms to corporate projects in Turkey through enterprise supply, commissioning and technical integration. Configuration, delivery terms and investment are set by corporate quotation.

A humanoid design is built around 15 high-performance servo motors in the body. That number is low compared with the brand's humanoid models but suits the robot's job: the Cruzr 1S does not walk, it moves on a wheeled base, and its arms are for gesturing rather than carrying loads.

The most concrete figure is runtime: up to eight hours on a single charge with 24 hours of standby. There are command, scheduled and automatic charging modes, and the robot goes to charge itself through an infrared sensor when the battery runs low. Eight hours covers a bank branch or airport shift.

Safety is built in three layers: stereo obstacle avoidance with six sensors working across 360 degrees, a TOF cliff sensor for anti-fall protection and soft electronic skin covering both arms. The cliff sensor addresses the most serious risk for a wheeled robot, the top of a staircase and the edge of a platform.

On perception there is a six-microphone array with a maximum five metre range and a 13 megapixel high-definition camera. Navigation uses UBTECH's self-developed U-SLAM for centimetre-level path planning. The wheel motor runs quietly with a suspension shock-resistant system.

On interaction the robot proactively greets VIP customers and, with a built-in multilingual large model, provides question-and-answer service like a sales assistant.

Up to Eight Hours of Work, Twenty-Four of Standby

The Cruzr 1S's most concrete figure is runtime: up to eight hours on a single charge with 24 hours of standby. There are command, scheduled and automatic charging modes, and the robot goes to charge itself when the battery runs low. Eight hours covers a bank branch or airport shift on one charge.

Safety Layers

On a robot working in a crowded lobby, safety is not left to a single sensor. The Cruzr 1S has three layers: stereo obstacle avoidance with six sensors working across 360 degrees, a TOF cliff sensor for anti-fall protection, and soft electronic skin covering both arms. The cliff sensor matters especially, because the top of a staircase or the edge of a raised platform is the most serious risk for a wheeled robot. The electronic skin softens the impact on contact.

Reception and Guiding

The robot can proactively greet VIP customers with a welcome message, and a built-in multilingual large model lets it act as a sales assistant providing question-and-answer service. On guiding it uses U-SLAM for centimetre-level path planning together with a depth vision system. The six-microphone array picks up voice at a maximum of five metres, which in a bank lobby or a trade fair stand means a visitor can speak without walking up to the robot.

ENGINEERING ANALYSIS

Technical Analysis of a Reception Robot

What Fifteen Servos Say

The Cruzr 1S carries 15 high-performance servo motors across the body. That is low compared with the same brand's humanoids: the Walker X states 41, the Cruzr S2 44 and the Walker S2 52 degrees of freedom. The difference comes from the robot's job. The Cruzr 1S does not walk but moves on a wheeled base, and its arms are for gesturing rather than carrying loads. There are no legs and no heavy manipulation, so the joint count is low. That is not a shortcoming but correct sizing.

Engineering Assessment

The Cruzr 1S is a reception robot sized correctly for its job: 15 servo motors suffice for gesturing and guiding, the three-layer safety set covers what a crowded lobby requires, and up to eight hours of runtime covers a shift. Publishing runtime is the positive point that separates it from the same brand's humanoid models.

Cruzr 1S Frequently Asked Questions

The most commonly asked questions and answers about Cruzr 1S.

We deliver UBTECH hardware to corporate projects through enterprise supply, commissioning and engineering support. Investment is set by corporate quotation against configuration, quantity and delivery terms. With organizations evaluating a robot for reception, guiding or lobby service we discuss the sourcing route and timeline. For reception and service robots orderable in Turkey today the Pudu Robotics family is worth considering, with 4-6 week delivery, a 1-year official warranty, on-site commissioning and engineering support across Turkey.

There are up to eight hours on a single charge and 24 hours of standby. Eight hours covers a standard bank branch or office shift. There are also command, scheduled and automatic charging modes, and the robot goes to charge itself when the battery runs low.
