What Is UniStore?
UniStore is the motion and task application store Unitree opened for its own robots. In plain terms it is an app store for your robot: you pick a motion package from the library, install it from your phone, and the robot performs it. No programming knowledge is required on the user side.
The platform launched with four sections: a community and discovery layer, a motion library of downloadable actions, a dataset section holding robot interaction data, and a developer center where third-party developers publish their own packages.
What Do You Need?
To access the motion packages you need a Unitree G1 humanoid robot and version 1.9.0 or higher of the Unitree Explore app. Packages reach the robot via OTA update; no separate computer setup is required.
At launch the library held 24 executable actions — from dance and martial-arts sequences to greeting gestures. The library grows as developers publish packages.
Why It Matters for the Buying Decision
UniStore removes a concrete barrier in humanoid robot ownership: you no longer need to be a developer to make the robot move. For trade shows, retail, museums, university demonstrations and events, the time from unboxing to a demo-ready robot drops sharply.
On the R&D side the opposite holds: the developer center lets you produce and publish your own motion packages. The G1 becomes a single platform that a non-programming team can operate and a research team can extend in depth.
UniStore vs. the SDK
