Overview
The Follow-Up Concrete Placing Boom mechanises the distribution of slab concrete over the formwork and comes in four sizes by placing radius: 12, 15, 18 and 20 metres. Machine weight excluding counterweight is 1.6 t at 12 m, 1.7 t at 15 m, 3.1 t at 18 m and 3.3 t at 20 m; the minimum weight for floor-to-floor transfer is 1.6-1.7 t (2.2 t) at 12 and 15 m, 2.2 t at 18 m and 2.5 t at 20 m. The 12 and 15 m editions sit on the slab with 3.6 × 3.6 and 4.2 × 4.2 m outrigger spans; the 18 and 20 m editions are installed in a reserved slab opening of 1.2 × 1.2 to 1.5 × 1.5 m or in a lift shaft of 2.1 × 2.1 to 2.3 × 2.3 m. There are four operating modes: automatic mode placing along a preset route by itself, follow-up mode run by one person with a hand controller, jog mode where the main and fly booms are driven by remote control, and traditional manual pulling; placing continues whatever the conditions. Follow-up placing saves two placing workers and automatic placing one more levelling worker; the high uniformity of automatic placing cuts spreading work by 13 percent, and together with a high-precision slab the slab cost falls by about 28 percent. The machine is operated directly by traditional workers; automatic slab placing needs no BIM data. Ten safety designs raise the safety of the placing process; the whole structure has passed simulation and field testing, with a main structure life above 3 years. Working voltage is three-phase five-wire AC 380 V (±40 V) and maximum wind resistance 13.8 m/s (force 6). References: at the Shenzhen Semiconductor and Advanced Manufacturing Industrial Park (278,000 m², China Construction Third Engineering Bureau) the follow-up boom worked in step with the 2.5 m levelling robot, one operator managed placing and the workforce fell by 4 people (40 percent); at the Asia-Pacific Headquarters of CanSino Clinical Research in Guangzhou (47,988 m²) the same set cut the workforce by 40 percent; Foshan Fengtong Garden, one of the first intelligent-construction pilot projects of China's Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, was built with more than 20 construction robots.
A boom that follows the operator
In follow-up mode the main and fly booms are managed by algorithm; one person drives the placing with a hand controller and 30 percent of the traditional labour suffices. Two placing workers are saved.

Automatic placing, 13 percent less spreading
In automatic mode the boom places along a preset route by itself; high uniformity cuts spreading work by 13 percent and frees one more levelling worker. No BIM data is needed.

Four modes, uninterrupted placing
It switches between automatic, follow-up, jog and manual modes; placing continues whether power, staff or site conditions change. The machine is operated directly by traditional workers.
Ten safety designs, three times the life
Ten safety designs raise the safety of the placing process; the whole structure has passed simulation and field testing, with a main structure life above 3 years. It works in 13.8 m/s wind.
Follow-Up Concrete Placing Boom: Technical Analysis
From a placing crew to a single operator
The crew pulling the hose and boom on slab concrete is at least three people; the boom's movement depends on muscle and experience, and when placing is uneven the levelling crew spreads extra. The Follow-Up Concrete Placing Boom manages the boom and arm by algorithm: in follow-up mode one person carries the hand controller, the arm follows them and 30 percent of the traditional labour suffices. In automatic mode it places along a preset route by itself; uniform placing cuts levelling work by 13 percent and, together with a high-precision slab, slab cost falls by about 28 percent.
Four sizes, two installation methods
The HG12 and HG15 (1.6 and 1.7 t) sit on the slab with 3.6 × 3.6 and 4.2 × 4.2 m outrigger spans and move between floors at 1.6-1.7 t (2.2 t); they are chosen for residential tower floors. The HG18 and HG20 (3.1 and 3.3 t) are installed in a reserved slab opening of 1.2 × 1.2 to 1.5 × 1.5 m or in a lift shaft of 2.1 × 2.1 to 2.3 × 2.3 m; they are chosen for wide basement and factory slabs. All four run on three-phase five-wire AC 380 V (±40 V) and withstand 13.8 m/s (force 6) wind.
Four operating modes
- Automatic mode: automatic placing along a preset route; no BIM data needed.
- Follow-up mode: single-person hand controller, the arm follows the operator.
- Jog mode: the main and fly booms driven by remote control.
- Manual mode: traditional manual pulling; placing continues whether power or site conditions change.
Figures from the field
- Shenzhen Semiconductor and Advanced Manufacturing Industrial Park (China Construction Third Engineering Bureau, 278,000 m²): synchronised placing and levelling with the follow-up boom and the 2.5 m levelling robot; one operator, the workforce down by 4 people (40 percent), consistent millimetre-level quality.
- Asia-Pacific Headquarters of CanSino Clinical Research and Operations, Guangzhou (China Nuclear Industry Huaxing Construction, 47,988 m²): the integrated concrete robot set cut the workforce by 40 percent.
- Foshan Fengtong Garden (February 2021, a Ministry intelligent-construction pilot project): more than 20 construction robots in auxiliary, concrete structure and decoration works; two practices entered the Ministry's list of replicable practices.
Who it is for
For general contractors and concrete pump operators pouring floor slabs and basements; together with the Concrete Leveling Robot and the 80SZ Trowelling Robot one crew covers pour to polish. The placing radius is chosen by the farthest corner of the floor plan.

Summary
The Follow-Up Concrete Placing Boom brings slab concrete placing from a three-person hose crew down to one operator: a 12-20 m radius, an arm that follows the operator, automatic placing along a preset route, four modes and 380 V mains supply. At the 278,000 m² industrial park in Shenzhen and the CanSino headquarters in Guangzhou it cut the workforce by 40 percent together with the levelling robot. Takipli Beton Dağıtım Bomu 12-20 m Frequently Asked Questions
The most commonly asked questions and answers about Takipli Beton Dağıtım Bomu 12-20 m.
12, 15, 18 or 20 m is chosen by the farthest corner of the floor plan. The HG12 and HG15 sit on the slab with 3.6 × 3.6 and 4.2 × 4.2 m outrigger spans and move easily between floors at 1.6-1.7 t; the HG18 and HG20 are installed in a slab opening or lift shaft.
No. Automatic slab placing runs along a preset route and needs no BIM data; the machine is operated directly by traditional workers. In follow-up mode one person carries the hand controller and the arm follows them.
A three-phase five-wire AC 380 V (±40 V) supply is required, fed from the site distribution board. Maximum wind resistance is 13.8 m/s.
Yes. At the Shenzhen semiconductor park the follow-up boom and the 2.5 m Concrete Leveling Robot worked in step and one operator managed placing; uniform placing cuts levelling work by 13 percent. The 80SZ Trowelling Robot then finishes the surface.
