Overview

The RealBot-L2 is the full-size wheeled humanoid robot on a lift column in RealMan Robotics' RealBot family. The upper body stands not on legs but on a lift column with 300 mm of travel; the column moves at 50-100 mm/s with a capacity above 60 kg including the arms and their load, and the two humanoid arms work from floor level up to 2.1 m. The body measures 650 × 512 × 1700 mm and weighs approximately 120 kg. Excluding the base and end-effector there are 17 active axes: 7 per arm, 1 pitch in the head, 1 pitch in the waist and the lift axis. The arms carry 5 kg, the arm span is 1778 mm without end-effector, and each arm houses a six-axis force-torque sensor with a 200 N / 7 N·m range and 0.5% full-scale accuracy. At the end-effector a two-finger parallel gripper and a five-finger dexterous hand swap quickly. Compute runs on an NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin 64 GB or a D-Robotics RDK S100; the head camera is stereo RGB (depth optional) and the hand cameras are RGB-D (monocular RGB optional) as standard. The two-wheel differential chassis moves at 0.1-1.0 m/s, climbs 5 degrees, crosses obstacles up to 15 mm and runs SLAM navigation and localization with dynamic obstacle avoidance. The 48 V 20 Ah battery gives around 6 hours of typical operation and is charged manually in about 1 hour; connectivity is wired and Wi-Fi, a built-in microphone array and speakers serve voice interaction, and an optional tablet takes the place of a display.
