Overview

AgiBot (AGIBOT Innovation (Shanghai) Technology Co., Ltd.) is a Shanghai-based Chinese company developing general-purpose humanoid robots. The A2 Ultra is the commercial flagship of its A series: it is positioned as the world's first commercially scaled full-size humanoid and states that over a thousand units operate in the field. Three headings: intelligent interaction, autonomous operation, reliable body.

Hardware highlights: 169 cm tall, about 69 kg, 40 degrees of freedom (including two 6-DoF dexterous hands), 270 Nm peak knee torque, 1.2 m/s walking and 10-degree ramps. The perception suite consists of 3D LiDAR, RGB-D, RGB and fisheye cameras; an NVIDIA Jetson Orin 64 GB runs alongside a 16-core CPU. The facial screen shows expressions, an array microphone and speaker carry voice interaction; connectivity is Wi-Fi and 4G/5G. The 14.4 Ah battery gives 3 hours standing, hot-swaps and charges in 2 hours.

Field evidence: the Guinness World Record for humanoid walking distance at 106.286 km, a 24-hour outdoor walking livestream, CR, CE-MD, CE-RED and FCC certifications, gold in group dance at the World Humanoid Robot Games, and the 2025 iF and Red Dot design awards. Reliability: a 92-item inspection, a 5,100-hour walking test, 1,300 hours of anomaly-free walking. Software: the AimMaster client, the LinkSoul customization platform, OTA every 2-3 months, swarm control software. Use areas are exhibition guiding, entertainment and commercial performance, and brand ambassadorship.

For organizations with an A2 Ultra requirement we assess sourcing, timing and the humanoid alternatives deliverable today (Unitree H2 and G1) transparently.

The Commercially Scaled Humanoid: Launch Video

The launch video presents the A2 Ultra under three headings: intelligent interaction, autonomous operation and a reliable body. It shows durability testing at 39 degrees air and 73 degrees ground temperature, pose optimization with 0.001 m optical motion capture, and reception scenes at an office entrance.

Top Guide of the Exhibition Hall

Autonomous reception, route guidance and explanation, autonomous obstacle avoidance, personalized customization and human-like interaction. Proactive greeting via facial recognition: the robot recognizes the visitor and greets first. The leading use case is exhibition hall and showroom guiding.

A Rising Star in Entertainment and Commercial Performance

Event promotion, business value enhancement and skill upgrades. The A2 Ultra has appeared on prominent platforms and events including CCTV, the 2025 CMG Science and Innovation Gala and Hunan TV's 2026 New Year's Eve Gala.

IP-Customized Brand Ambassador

Image customization and brand upgrade: the robot is dressed and positioned to the brand's character, with persona, voice and greeting lines configured via LinkSoul.

Breaking Limits: The 106.286 km Guinness Record

The A2 Ultra set the Guinness World Record for the longest distance walked by a humanoid robot with a cross-provincial walk of 106.286 km, a new milestone in long-distance autonomous mobility.

6-DoF Dexterous Hands

Each A2 Ultra hand has 6 degrees of freedom; 12 of the total 40 DoF are in the hands. With about 2 kg per arm they are built for interaction tasks such as holding, presenting and handing over objects. The A2 Lite has no dexterous hands.

ENGINEERING ANALYSIS

Technical Analysis of the Commercially Scaled Humanoid

What the Perception Suite Delivers

Having 3D LiDAR, an RGB-D camera, an RGB camera and a fisheye camera together lets the robot see both distant obstacles and nearby people in an exhibition aisle; the Jetson Orin 64 GB processes that stream and feeds the dynamic planning engine. The same suite underpins proactive greeting via facial recognition. The A2 Lite lacks this layer: the same body walks under remote control but does not find its own route.

Reliability Learned From a Thousand Units in the Field

Reliability rests on three numbers: a 92-item pre-delivery inspection, 1,300 hours of continuous anomaly-free walking within a 5,100-hour test, and over a thousand robots in the field. The 106.286 km Guinness walk and the 24-hour outdoor livestream add to it. CR, CE-MD, CE-RED and FCC certifications prepare the compliance file for corporate procurement; how those documents map onto the Turkish import process is assessed per project.

Battery: 3 Hours Standing and Two Supply Modes

The 14.4 Ah pack gives 3 hours standing and over 1.5 hours walking; the A2 Lite reaches 4.5 hours standing since it has no perception layer. Because an exhibition day runs eight hours, the real answer is the two supply modes: a hot-swappable battery and a 2-hour fast charge. Rotating two packs means continuous operation in practice; the charger outputs 54.6 V 8 A and its 110-220 V input suits the Turkish grid.

ENGINEERING EVALUATION

Engineering Assessment

What sets the A2 Ultra apart is not being the fastest or the lightest; it is being a certified reception-and-guiding robot with a full perception suite, proven by a thousand units in the field. For a trade fair, showroom or brand event the right question is not how fast it walks but how many battery swaps get it through the day and whether it recognizes a visitor and greets first; the A2 Ultra answers both with its data. Projects that need stage acrobatics point to the 12 kW A3, and heavy perception and development work to the Unitree H2 deliverable today.
