Overview
The Unitree H2-D is a wheeled humanoid robot that carries the biomimetic design approach of Unitree Robotics' H2 series onto a column-mounted dual-arm platform. It comes in two versions: the fixed-base Standard (19 DOF) and the mobile-base Flagship (20 DOF); both carry two 7-DOF arms, a 2-DOF waist and a 2-DOF head, and weigh 135 kg with battery. Each arm handles a rated payload of about 7 kg and a peak of about 15 kg; with 0-115° waist pitch and 0.5 m of vertical lift, the workspace extends from floor level to 2 m. The Flagship's dual-wheel differential base reaches 1.5 m/s, rotates 360° in place and navigates autonomously with a chassis LiDAR, depth camera, collision and ultrasonic sensors; its quick-release 48V/30Ah (1.44 kWh) battery runs for about 5 hours and charges automatically. The Standard runs 24/7 on direct power. Base computing consists of two PCs, an Intel Core i5 for platform capabilities and a Core i7 for custom development, with an optional high-performance computing module. Perception includes a wide-FOV binocular camera and two wrist HD cameras, with WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity. End-effector options are a 2-finger gripper, a 3-finger or a 5-finger dexterous hand. With OTA updates and secondary development support it is positioned for industrial automation, research and education, commercial services and as an embodied AI training platform; the warranty is 12 months.

: Wheeled Dual-Arm Platform Technical Analysis
Mechanical Design and Kinematic Structure
- Both versions share the same upper body: 7-DOF × 2 arms, 2-DOF waist, 2-DOF head. The difference is the base: the Standard has 19 DOF on a fixed base, the Flagship 20 DOF on a mobile base (excluding end-effector).
- Arm payload is a rated ~7 kg and a peak ~15 kg per arm; the peak value varies greatly with arm extension posture.
- 0-115° waist pitch, 0.5 m vertical lift (up to 200 mm/s) and whole-body coordination extend the workspace from floor level to 2 m; single-arm reach is ~0.62 m with the 2-finger gripper.
- Total weight with battery is 135 kg; the body sits on a 576 × 620 mm footprint and stands between 1200 mm and 1700 mm depending on column height.
Base, Computing and Perception
- The Flagship base reaches 1.5 m/s on a servo-driven dual-wheel differential drive and rotates 360° in place with a ~0.75 m turning diameter. The Standard base offers ±90° in-place Z-axis rotation.
- The Flagship chassis carries LiDAR ×1, depth camera ×1, physical collision sensor ×2 and ultrasonic sensor ×2; in the upper body, a wide-FOV binocular camera ×1 and wrist HD camera ×2 are standard on both versions.

- Notes: parameters may vary by scenario and configuration, some features will be released gradually, and a sufficient safety distance between people and the robot must be maintained. Warranty 12 months.
Engineering Evaluation
By placing the H2's humanoid upper body on a column and wheels instead of legs, the Unitree H2-D focuses on what industrial manipulation actually needs: heavy parts from a stable stance, a wide vertical workspace and long run time. Offering the same upper body on fixed and mobile bases lets one platform progress from a line-side workstation to in-warehouse transfer. Force-controlled joints, wrist cameras and an open SDK provide the infrastructure for embodied AI data collection and policy training. Quote-only pricing and the gradual release of some features mean the configuration (base, end-effector, computing module, battery) should be finalized with the manufacturer as part of the purchase decision.

H2-D Frequently Asked Questions
The most commonly asked questions and answers about H2-D.
It is Unitree Robotics' wheeled dual-arm humanoid robot. It carries the biomimetic design of the H2 series onto a column-mounted platform and offers 19 (Standard) or 20 (Flagship) DOF in total with two 7-DOF arms, a 2-DOF waist and a 2-DOF head. It is designed for industrial manipulation, commercial service, robotics research and embodied AI training.
The Standard has a fixed base: 19 DOF, a 48V/18Ah (864 Wh) battery or 24/7 operation on direct power, ±90° in-place rotation. The Flagship has a mobile base: 20 DOF, 1.5 m/s on a dual-wheel differential drive, 360° in-place rotation, chassis LiDAR and depth camera, about 5 hours on a 48V/30Ah (1.44 kWh) battery with auto charging. Upper body, arms, computing and perception are identical on both.
The H2 is a bipedal walking humanoid, 182 cm tall with 31 DOF. The H2-D places the same series' upper-body design on a vertical lift column and a fixed or wheeled base instead of legs; it weighs 135 kg and has 19-20 DOF. Instead of walking, it emphasizes heavy handling from a stable stance, 0.5 m vertical lift and 24/7 operation.
Rated payload is about 7 kg and peak about 15 kg per arm; the peak value varies greatly with arm extension posture. Single-arm reach is about 0.62 m with the 2-finger gripper and vertical lift is 0.5 m.
Four areas: industrial automation (high-speed sorting, autonomous warehousing), research and education (embodied AI validation, robotics education, demonstrations), commercial services (reception, guided tours, retail) and an embodied AI training platform (large-scale real-world data collection, model fine-tuning, sim-to-real transfer).
An optional 2-finger gripper, 3-finger dexterous hand or 5-finger dexterous hand; they attach via quick-change and the selection is finalized with the sales team. Secondary development is supported on both versions: comprehensive SDKs and APIs, a mature navigation software stack and OTA updates. Details are in Unitree's secondary development manual.
