Unitree H2-D Announced: the Wheeled Dual-Arm Version of the H2

UNITREE Turkey Hub & Competence Center

Unitree Robotics has published the H2-D on its official product page. The model puts the humanoid upper body of the H2 series on a vertical lift column and a fixed or wheeled base instead of legs. There are two versions: the fixed-base Standard (19 DOF) and the mobile-base Flagship (20 DOF). 7 DOF per arm, a rated ~7 kg / peak ~15 kg payload, 0-115° waist pitch, 135 kg with battery. Sales are by quote.

What Was Announced

The H2-D is a wheeled dual-arm robot, aimed at "industrial mobile manipulation" and the move from research labs to production lines. Three points stand out:

  • Fully in-house technology stack: actuators, force-controlled joints and motion control algorithms are Unitree designs; secondary development and system customization are supported.
  • 20-DOF motion: omnidirectional mobility, vertical lift and body pitch; stability in confined and complex environments.
  • Multimodal perception: vision, LiDAR, ultrasonic sensing, force feedback and voice interaction in one system.

Manufacturer footnotes: arm payload varies greatly with arm extension posture; end-effector selection is made with the sales team; parameters may vary by scenario and configuration; some features will be released gradually; a sufficient safety distance between people and the robot must be maintained.

How It Differs from the H2: a Column and Wheels Instead of Legs

The Unitree H2 is a bipedal walking humanoid, 182 cm tall with 31 DOF. The H2-D takes the same series' biomimetic upper-body design but does not walk: it stands on a lift column travelling between 1200 and 1700 mm and a fixed or wheeled base. That choice changes three things: the 135 kg body stays put against heavy parts; 0.5 m of vertical lift and 0-115° pitch extend the workspace from the floor to 2 m; the Standard version runs 24/7 on direct power. Smaller-scale examples of the same approach are already in the range: the G1-D and the R1-D. The H2-D is the full-size, heavy-payload class of that line.

Applications the Manufacturer Targets

Unitree lists four areas:

  • Industrial automation: high-speed sorting, autonomous warehousing.
  • Research and education: embodied AI research and validation, robotics education, demonstrations.
  • Commercial services: reception, guided tours, retail operations.
  • Embodied AI training platform: large-scale real-world data collection, model fine-tuning, sim-to-real transfer.

The end-effector options (2-finger gripper, 3- or 5-finger dexterous hand) and the two base options let the same upper body move between these areas: at the line one day, in a warehouse aisle the next.

Price and Availability in Turkey

Robotlar.org, the authorized Unitree Robotics partner in Turkey, supplies the H2-D; pricing is finalized by quote according to the version (Standard/Flagship), end-effector, computing module and battery selection. The delivery schedule is set together with the manufacturer; since some features will be released gradually, the quote reflects the current configuration status. Model page: Unitree H2-D.
