Overview

AgiBot (AGIBOT Innovation (Shanghai) Technology Co., Ltd.) is a Shanghai-based Chinese company developing general-purpose humanoid robots. The A3 Ultra is the member of its A series built for commercial operation, described by the manufacturer as a "24/7 productivity partner".

Hardware highlights: 174 cm tall, 60 kg, 7 DOF per arm, 6 per leg and 3 at the waist, with 20-DOF tactile Omnihands. The perception stack combines LiDAR with three fisheye surround cameras, a chest EmbodiedAI RGB-D camera, a knee terrain RGB-D camera and wide-angle binocular interaction cameras. A 700 TOPS EmbodiedAI processor runs task decomposition, path planning and dynamic obstacle avoidance on board. The 1152 Wh dual battery lasts up to 8 hours; autonomous plug-in charging, a 10-second hot swap and custom ADU air cooling target uninterrupted shifts. Positioning uses UWB indoors and RTK outdoors, with dual-band 5G, dual eSIM and a physical SIM.

Safety is four-layered: 3-metre risk prediction, contact-triggered stop, dual emergency stop and intelligent fall protection. The body is magnesium alloy and carbon-fibre nylon, with a biomimetic foot design. Deployment is single-person: shoulder sensing, autonomous box entry and exit, foldable storage and SUV transport. LinkBots allows coordination of hundreds of units. The manufacturer reports a 92-step full inspection process before delivery, an automotive-grade production line and thousand-unit-scale production across multiple product generations. Certifications include CE, FCC, IC, MIC and RCM, plus UN38.3 and MSDS.

Application areas: reception and guided tours, in-store guidance, patrol and field inspection, research and education, data collection and stage performance. With the manufacturer's own caveat: applications shown on the A3 platform are not enabled by default on the A3 Ultra and require scenario engineering (programming, model integration, environment configuration, deployment and validation).

For organizations with an A3 Ultra requirement we assess sourcing, customs and freight items, timing and the full-size alternatives deliverable today (Unitree H2 and G1) transparently.

ENGINEERING ANALYSIS

A3 Ultra: Technical Analysis of Commercial Operation

The hardware behind the 24/7 claim

Continuous operation is not a single number but three parts working together: a 1152 Wh dual battery (8 hours when walking and standing are 1:1), autonomous plug-in charging and a 10-second hot swap. The robot is re-energized between shifts without shutting down, and custom ADU air cooling delays the thermal limit under sustained load. Without those three, 700 TOPS of compute alone would not mean 24/7.

The perception stack: LiDAR versus vision-only

On the A3 Ultra, LiDAR works together with the chest EmbodiedAI RGB-D camera, the knee terrain RGB-D camera, wide-angle binocular interaction cameras and three fisheye surround cameras. That combination adds redundancy exactly where vision-only systems struggle: low light, glass surfaces and sudden depth changes. For positioning, UWB is used indoors and RTK outdoors, with switching between the two described as seamless.

What ships before secondary development

The manufacturer's own note is explicit: capabilities shown on the A3 platform are not enabled by default on the A3 Ultra and require application-specific programming, model integration, environment configuration, deployment and validation. A project plan therefore has two line items: hardware sourcing and scenario engineering. The developer and EDU versions provide the open SDK, ROS2 interface and secondary development documentation that make this possible.

ENGINEERING EVALUATION

Engineering Assessment

What distinguishes the A3 Ultra is not a single specification but a package built for commercial operation: 700 TOPS of on-board compute, LiDAR-assisted perception, an 8-hour battery plus autonomous charging and a 10-second swap, four-layer safety and single-person deployment. In exchange, motion figures such as speed, payload and joint torque are not published by the manufacturer; the robot is said to inherit the A3's capabilities, but the numbers have to be read from the A3 page. Delivery date and price in Turkey are project-based; the full-size alternative orderable today is the Unitree H2.

A3 Ultra Frequently Asked Questions

The most commonly asked questions and answers about A3 Ultra.

AgiBot sells the A3 Ultra on an enquiry basis in its own store; there is no published list price or delivery date for Turkey. If you have a corporate requirement you can talk to Robotlar.org: we assess the sourcing process, a realistic timeline, customs and freight items and the alternatives deliverable today.

174 cm tall and 60 kg; 7 DOF per arm, 6 per leg and 3 at the waist, with 20-DOF tactile Omnihands. 700 TOPS EmbodiedAI compute, LiDAR and 360-degree surround vision, chest and knee RGB-D cameras and wide-angle binocular interaction cameras. A 1152 Wh dual battery gives up to 8 hours of runtime, a full charge in 2 hours and a 10-second battery swap. UWB positioning indoors and RTK outdoors; dual-band 5G with dual eSIM and a physical SIM.

The manufacturer states that it has obtained mainstream market certifications including EU CE (RED, safety, RoHS and similar), US FCC, Canada IC, Japan MIC and Australia RCM, plus UN38.3 and MSDS transport documentation, which allows legal deployment in most regions.

The robot enters and exits its box autonomously, and unpacking and deployment can be completed by one person. With a four-layer active safety system, autonomous charging and support for unattended operation, the target is 24-hour uninterrupted running, which lowers deployment and maintenance costs.

The developer and EDU versions provide an open SDK, a ROS2 interface and complete secondary development materials; action and character customization and third-party system integration are supported. Brand-level customization such as appearance painting, custom clothing, voice cloning and enterprise IP integration is also possible. Important note: applications shown on the A3 platform are not enabled by default on the A3 Ultra and require scenario engineering.

The A3 is positioned for stage and interaction: 55 kg, 12 kW peak power, up to 10 hours of runtime and UWB-based swarm shows. The A3 Ultra is the version built for commercial 24/7 operation: a 60 kg body, 700 TOPS of compute, LiDAR-assisted 360-degree perception, RTK outdoor positioning, four-layer safety and autonomous charging. If performance and choreography come first, look at the A3 or the A2 family; if reception, patrol and unattended operation come first, the A3 Ultra fits better.

The manufacturer's skill showcase is currently published for the A2 Lite and A2 Ultra, with each program defined by duration, the number of robots required, compatible models and accessories. For organizations that want similar performance programs on the A3 Ultra, the right question is which skill is ready on which body: with performance as the priority the A2 family arrives with programs out of the box, whereas on the A3 Ultra the same content is built through secondary development.
