This Comparison Is Really a Layout Decision

What separates the BellaBot from the KettyBot Pro is not the "service robot against advertising robot" split described in most places, because both carry trays and both interact with customers. The real difference sits in two physical numbers: how many trays they carry and how many centimetres they need to pass through. Your aisle width and the intensity of your service rounds make this decision for you.

Tray Count Sets the Service Round

The BellaBot carries 4 trays at 10 kg each for 40 kg total. The KettyBot Pro carries 3 trays and 30 kg. How many tables you can serve in one round follows directly from that: at peak hours four trays let you group the orders leaving the kitchen, while three trays mean more frequent rounds. For a robot greeting guests in a lobby, on the other hand, the third tray never fills anyway.

52 Centimetres: The KettyBot Pro's Real Advantage

The KettyBot Pro's body is 435 × 450 × 1120 mm at 38 kg, with a minimum passage width of 52 cm. The BellaBot is 565 × 537 × 1290 mm at 55 kg. That is why the KettyBot Pro is the robot that gets between tightly spaced tables, through a crowded lobby and down store aisles. If you do not want to rearrange the tables in an existing venue, the only number you need to measure is the narrowest passage: anything between 52 and 60 cm rules the BellaBot out of that route.

Shift Length and the Charging Window

The BellaBot's battery is hot-swappable and gives 12 to 24 hours of endurance, so with a spare pack the robot never stops to charge. The KettyBot Pro runs 9 hours unloaded on a 20 Ah battery and charges in 3.5 hours. Nine hours is enough for a single-shift cafe; in a hotel restaurant open from breakfast through to late service, the day does not close without a battery change. It is a difference that is invisible at first glance but shapes the operation.

The Decision

If you serve food and your rounds are busy, choose the BellaBot. If greeting, wayfinding, promotional display and tight passages come first, choose the KettyBot Pro, whose 18.5 inch screen is built for that job. To weigh the Pro versions of both, our BellaBot Pro and KettyBot Pro comparison covers where the difference moves once the screen is common to both.
