Safe Inspection in Energy Facilities: Unitree B2
UNITREE Turkey Hub & Competence CenterAutonomous checks performed without risking human life in dangerous substations and energy lines.
Detecting overheating points in power lines with thermal cameras.
Remote monitoring of radiation levels in nuclear or industrial facilities.
Power line inspection works under a different constraint than in-facility patrol: the robot has to cover kilometres in a single run, so range directly defines what the mission can be. The Unitree AS2-W uses a wheeled-legged architecture to deliver over 30 km of range with a 16 kg continuous payload, a budget that covers a thermal camera, a gas sensor and a spare battery pack at the same time. Its 150 kg static capacity also allows fixed measurement equipment to be permanently mounted to the body. It crosses the stepped, sloping ground around pylon bases on its legs and covers the line itself on its wheels.
