OVERVIEW

Unitree G1

Unitree G1 is a compact humanoid robot introduced in 2024 by Unitree Robotics. It stands 132 cm tall (folded: 69 cm) and weighs approximately 35 kg (with battery). With 23 degrees of freedom, the G1 can expand to 43 DoF in the G1 EDU variant with the optional Dex3-1 dexterous hand. The G1 EDU is equipped with NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX (100 TOPS, 16GB RAM, 2TB SSD) and is open for secondary development. Max knee joint torque is 90 N·m (G1) / 120 N·m (G1 EDU). Arm payload: ~2 kg (G1) / ~3 kg (G1 EDU). Max walking speed ~2 m/s; battery runtime ~2 hours (9000mAh, 54V 5A charger). The head features a LIVOX MID360 3D LiDAR (360° horizontal, 59° vertical FOV) and Intel RealSense D435i depth camera. Connectivity: WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. G1 EDU is fully open for secondary development via ROS2 and Python SDK.
